About Growing Standard
Growing Standard LLC builds learning software for K-12 schools and districts. We were founded by a classroom teacher and built our first product, Potato Class, inside a real classroom.
Why we exist
Most ed-tech is designed by product teams who haven't taught a classroom in years — or ever. The result is software that checks pedagogical boxes but fails the real test: will a 9-year-old open this app voluntarily on a Saturday?
We design against that question. The instructional rigor stays uncompromised, but the reward system — earning stars, customizing a potato companion, collecting gear, adopting pets — borrows from the games kids already love. The result is a learning environment where practice volume is self-sustaining.
How we build
We're a small, educator-led team that ships fast. Every feature is pilot-tested with real students in real classrooms before it enters the district catalog. When teachers tell us something doesn't work, we fix it that week — not next quarter.

- Growing Standard for Districts — the enterprise tier: admin dashboards, MTSS, equity/subgroup reporting, custom standards crosswalks, implementation support.
